WICHITA, KANSAS — Investigators have released chilling surveillance footage believed to show the possible abduction of a woman, captured early Sunday morning in a quiet Wichita neighborhood.
Shocking Footage Emerges
The 20-second clip, made public by the Wichita Police Department, shows a woman screaming for help as she’s pulled away from a doorway by an unidentified person around 2:00 a.m. on October 12. The incident occurred near the 1400 block of North Volutsia, between Grove and Hillside. Police enhanced the audio to make her cries clearer, hoping someone will recognize her voice or the suspect’s movements.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities have not yet identified either the woman or her possible abductor. Investigators are exploring all possibilities, including whether the incident was domestic in nature or a random kidnapping. A reported sighting in Oklahoma was checked but ruled out as unrelated. Detectives are currently reviewing every frame of the footage and canvassing the area for additional cameras that might offer more clues.
