MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA — Months after a teacher wife admitted to having sex with a student, another teacher-student case is now under investigation. This time, a married Southern California teacher has been arrested after police said she committed lewd acts with a student while working at a charter school.
Samantha J. Watson, of Eastvale in Riverside County, was taken into custody on Friday. Authorities said she was arrested without incident.
Alleged Abuse Happened Years Earlier
Police said the alleged sexual abuse happened between 2017 and 2018.
At the time, Watson was working as a teacher at a charter school in Moreno Valley. Investigators said the case involves inappropriate sexual contact with a student.
Watson was booked into jail on charges that include sending harmful material to a juvenile, oral copulation, and digital penetration.
Investigation Began in January
The investigation began on January 28, 2026, after allegations surfaced about inappropriate contact with a student.
The Riverside Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit was notified and began looking into the claims.
Authorities have not released the age or identity of the alleged victim.
