ANAHEIM HILLS, CALIFORNIA — Surveillance video captured the moment thieves drove an SUV through the front doors of a jewelry store in Anaheim Hills during a brazen daytime robbery that the owner estimated caused about $1 million in losses. The suspects later abandoned the vehicle and fled, and police said eight people were taken into custody.

SUV Rammed Through Storefront

The incident happened Friday at Classic Jewelers. Video from inside the store showed multiple masked suspects moving quickly through the shop and smashing display cases after the SUV entered through the front.

Owner Ramzy Tabello said the group ransacked the business in seconds.

Getaway and Crashes Followed

After the burglary, the suspects left the SUV behind and escaped in two Dodge Chargers. An employee ran outside and attempted to photograph the license plates as the vehicles pulled away.

Police said the suspects were later involved in two separate crashes during the escape.

Eight Suspects Taken Into Custody

Authorities reported that eight suspects, including a minor, were taken into custody following the incidents. No additional details on charges were included in the information provided.
