MOSCOW, RUSSIA — Several years after appearing in one of our videos, Kirill Tereshin, the Russian influencer and former soldier infamously known as the "Russian Popeye," has been hospitalized again as the "terrible consequences" of his extreme body modification continue to surface. Tereshin, who injected his arms with Synthol (an industrial oil) to achieve his 'Bazooka Arms' (Ruki Bazooki), is now reportedly suffering from rotting muscle tissue.
The 29-year-old, who has previously admitted his health problems are due "to my own stupidity," is now reportedly trying to heal a "hole in his arm" and is planning a skin transplant.
This is the latest in a series of desperate medical procedures for Tereshin, who began injecting his arms with the oil at age 20. He previously underwent surgery to remove dead muscle from his triceps and drain excess fluid caused by the substance.

The current hospitalization confirms dire warnings from medical professionals. In 2018, Dr. Evgeny Lilin stated that Tereshin faced a "very probable" risk of future amputation. "Someday, abscesses will develop, then inflammation, and he will be at risk of a stroke," Dr. Lilin warned at the time.
Tereshin's family has long been concerned. In 2017, his mother, Irina, told Russian television that she was "categorically opposed" to her son's "transformation" and called him an "online guinea pig."
