WATCH: Gunman Opens Fire on Band During Live Concert in Peru

LIMA, PERU — An Agua Marina concert in descended into chaos on Wednesday night after a gunman opened fire during the performance, wounding four musicians and sending the crowd into a panic. The attack was captured on video by concertgoers.

The Attack

The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 8, at the Military Circle in the Chorrillos District of Lima. Viral videos show the popular band on stage performing their hit song “Corazón Partido” when multiple gunshots suddenly ring out. The footage captures the musicians immediately fleeing the stage as the audience begins to scramble for safety.

Other videos from the venue show a scene of chaos, with people running to escape after hearing the gunfire.

The Victims and Investigation

The head of the Lima region's National Police, Enrique Monroy, confirmed that four members of the orchestra were injured in the shooting. Among the wounded were the Quiroga brothers. One of the brothers, Luis Quiroga, sustained three bullet wounds.

Following the attack, the injured musicians were escorted from the stage by security personnel and transported to a nearby medical center for treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the shooter and determine the motive behind the attack.
