NEWARK, DELAWARE – A terrifying school shooting plot has been thwarted after police arrested a heavily armed university student found with a "manifesto" notebook. Officials have confirmed that the suspect, who allegedly wrote about "killing all," is an Afghan national who immigrated to the United States as a child.

From Refugee to Radical Suspect
Luqmaan Khan, 25, was arrested just before midnight on November 24. While initial reports identified him as Pakistani, the Pakistani embassy clarified to reporters that Khan was born in Afghanistan. He spent "a few years" as a refugee in Pakistan before immigrating to the U.S. as a "youth."
Police state that Khan, who is now a U.S. citizen, lived "most of his life" in America. He was currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware when he was taken into custody.

"Kill All - Martyrdom"
The arrest occurred after officers found Khan sitting in his truck in a closed public park. When he refused to speak with officers, they searched his vehicle and discovered a frightening arsenal: a handgun, multiple 27-round magazines, body armor, and a device to convert the pistol into a semi-automatic rifle.
Most disturbing was a marble notebook found in the truck. It contained detailed plans to attack the University of Delaware Police Department. The writings included phrases like “kill all – martyrdom.” Khan allegedly told police later that becoming a martyr was “one of the greatest things you can do.”
The Arsenal at Home
The investigation led police to Khan’s home in Wilmington, where the threat became even more apparent. Inside, agents found an AR-style rifle with a red-dot scope and a second pistol fitted with a switch allowing it to fire as a fully automatic machine gun. None of the firearms were registered.
Khan remains behind bars and is currently charged with illegally possessing a machine gun as federal and local authorities continue their investigation.
