BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA — Two brothers were shot and killed inside their business on Monday.

A Community in Mourning
Friends and family are grieving the loss. Richard Geragi was a well-known figure in the local music scene. He was a percussionist and vocalist. He performed across South Florida.

"He just lifts the whole band," said friend Jackson Bunn. Bunn performed with Richard for years. He described the news as devastating. "I was just silent. I was in shock," he added.
Shooting Linked to Embezzlement
Police have uncovered a motive. The shooting is linked to a massive fraud investigation. Investigators say the suspect's brother, Sadman Dawla, worked as the company accountant.

Reports indicate Nesar Dawla went to the office to discuss the money. Instead, he opened fire. He fled the scene in a vehicle. Police pursued him. The chase ended when Dawla turned the gun on himself.

Remembered for Joy
Friends say Richard loved life. He expressed joy through his music. "He was someone who really loved life," a friend shared. The tight-knit music community is now playing in his honor.
"That person who killed him wasted a life," said former bandmate Laura Sue Wilansky. "He had so much more he could've given."
