NEWCASTLE, ENGLAND – A biological male who identifies as a woman has been sentenced to prison for sexually abusing a young schoolgirl. Despite requesting to be treated as female, the 47-year-old sex offender was ordered by a judge to serve the sentence in a male prison.
"I'm Not Attracted to Females"
Natalie Wolf, born Ryan Haley, appeared in court in Newcastle to face charges for an attack on a 13-year-old girl. Prosecutors stated that Wolf tried to grope the victim's chest and touch her groin during the incident in Sunderland.
Wolf denied the allegations with a bizarre defense. The defendant claimed to be the victim of a conspiracy and insisted that the police and jury had been "hypnotized" into a conviction. Wolf also told the judge, "I’m not even sexually attracted to females in that way," and accused the teen victim of lying.
"You Destroyed Me"
The victim, who is now an adult, delivered a powerful impact statement during the sentencing. She refused to refer to Wolf by female pronouns and addressed the attacker by birth name.
"I know you as Ryan Haley, a man who sexually abused me," the victim told the court. She described the lasting trauma of the assault, stating that it made her body "feel like a battlefield." She added, "Ryan, you destroyed me as a child, a teenager and an adult. Today you are finally going to face justice."
Sentenced to Male Prison
The court heard that Wolf has 13 previous convictions, though none were for sexual offenses. The judge sentenced Wolf to three and a half years in a male prison for sexual activity with a child.
In addition to the prison term, Wolf was handed an indefinite restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order. The offender must also sign the sex offenders register for life.
