SPRING, TEXAS — Aralyn Martinez, 24, was arrested after deputies said she assaulted another woman inside a 24 Hour Fitness gym in Spring, Texas, after recognizing her as someone her partner was involved with.
Deputies Respond to 911 Call
The incident happened at the 24 Hour Fitness on Lake Plaza Drive, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Office. Deputies said they responded on January 7 after a 911 call reported an attack inside the gym.
Officials said an altercation began after Martinez recognized the complainant inside the facility.

25-Pound Weight Plate Alleged in Assault
Deputies said Martinez threw a weighted plate toward the complainant’s head during the confrontation. A criminal complaint alleges the victim was attacked with a 25-pound weight plate.
Martinez is accused of aggravated assault, according to the charging document.

Arrest and Bond Conditions
Martinez was arrested on January 8 and booked into the Harris County Jail on a $1,000 bond. Officials said she posted bond the next day.
Court-ordered bond conditions state alcohol was believed to be a factor. The order prohibits her from using or possessing alcohol, marijuana, or weapons. The court also ordered no contact with the victim and barred her from coming within 200 feet of the gym location.

Next Court Date Set
The case is pending in the 488th Criminal Court before Judge Matthew Peneguy. Martinez is scheduled to appear in court on January 22.
