SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — What was meant to be a peaceful Christmas Eve morning quickly turned into a heartbreaking ordeal for a family in northwest Bexar County. A 19-year-old woman disappeared from her home just after waking up, leaving behind her phone and a wave of unanswered questions that continue to trouble investigators and loved ones.

The Morning Walk That Never Happened
Shortly before 7 a.m. on December 24, Camila Mendoza Olmos was captured on home surveillance footage stepping outside her San Antonio home. Dressed in baby-blue pajama shorts, a black hoodie with blue accents, and white sneakers, she appeared to be checking something inside her parked car.
The footage ends just moments later. Her car remained in the driveway, and there was no sign that it had been moved. Authorities believe she left the property on foot, taking only her car keys and possibly her driver’s license.

A Mother's Growing Alarm
Camila had spent the night sharing a bed with her mother, Rosario Olmos. That morning, Rosario recalled feeling her daughter get up but thought she had gone for her usual early walk. It wasn’t until about 90 minutes later that she began to worry.
When Rosario checked the house, she found it empty. Camila’s cell phone was still on her bed and turned off, something her family says is completely out of character. She quickly searched nearby streets but found no trace of her daughter.

A Growing Search and Few Clues
As hours passed with no sign of Camila, friends and family launched a massive search. More than 100 people joined the effort, including relatives who traveled over 17 hours to help. Search parties have scoured a three-mile radius surrounding the home, checking trails, parks, and nearby surveillance footage, but so far, no solid leads have emerged.
Camila’s loved ones say she was always connected and her phone was never off, especially when walking alone. Her sudden disappearance without warning or explanation has left everyone deeply unsettled.
Possibly Endangered
The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a CLEAR Alert, used in cases involving adults who are missing under suspicious or potentially dangerous circumstances. Camila’s case meets those criteria, and authorities continue to investigate all possible scenarios.
Her father has made a public plea for her safe return. “We just want her home. We miss her every second,” he said. Rosario continues to pray for answers, hoping each knock at the door brings news of her daughter.
Anyone with tips or surveillance footage from the area is asked to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335‑6000 or email [email protected].
