AGUA DULCE, TEXAS — Jaden Renee Charles, a 25-year-old middle school science teacher, has been arrested and charged with the aggravated sexual assault of a child. The investigation began after school officials discovered she was allegedly providing THC vapes and alcohol to students.

Grooming and Video Evidence
Authorities launched an inquiry after a student was caught with a vape pen on campus. During the subsequent investigation, multiple students came forward with allegations against Charles. Police later obtained video footage showing Charles with a student at a hotel in Alice, Texas.

According to the Agua Dulce City Marshal's Office, up to 12 students may have been victimized. Charles is accused of using the vapes and alcohol as part of a grooming pattern to exploit the minors.
Pregnancy Claim During Arrest
Upon her arrest, Charles reportedly told officers that she was pregnant by one of the students. She has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of grooming.

Charles has resigned from her position at the Agua Dulce Independent School District. She is currently being held on a $400,000 bond.
