DALLAS, TEXAS — Nestor Lujan Flores has been sentenced to 15 years in prison following a gruesome hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian. The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter and collision involving death.
Collision Threw Victim Into Vehicle
The incident occurred on December 16, 2023, along the Interstate 30 service road in Dallas. Prosecutors stated that Lujan Flores struck a pedestrian with such force that the victim was launched through the windshield and into the passenger seat of the car.

Despite the severity of the impact, Lujan Flores continued driving for nearly 40 miles. He eventually parked at a Jack in the Box restaurant in White Settlement, where he remained for several hours.
Police Discover Mutilated Body
Police responded to the restaurant after a caller reported a damaged gray Kia Forte with a driver slumped over the steering wheel. Upon arrival, an officer discovered the body of the pedestrian in the passenger seat.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim was found upside down with their head on the floorboard. The victim's legs had been severed during the collision and were missing from the vehicle; investigators later recovered the remains at the original crash site in Dallas.
Driver Claimed He Hit an Animal
Lujan Flores, who had previous convictions for driving while intoxicated, reportedly told police he believed he had hit a deer. He appeared confused and failed to contact emergency services after the crash.

Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot called the case a "stark reminder of the devastation caused by impaired driving."
