LAFAYETTE, INDIANA — Tippecanoe Superior Court 2 Judge Steven Meyer and his wife, Kimberly Meyer, were shot at their home Sunday afternoon in Lafayette. Both were taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition. A search continued Monday for the person responsible.

911 Call Reported Shots Fired
Lafayette police responded to the 1700 block of Mill Pond Lane after a report of a shooting. Investigators recovered shell casings at the scene.
Emergency dispatch audio described a knock at the door, a statement that the caller’s dog was being held, and then a shot fired through the door.
Victims’ Injuries and Condition
Officials reported Steven Meyer, 66, suffered an injury to his arm. Kimberly Meyer suffered an injury to her hip.
Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush stated Monday that Judge Meyer remained hospitalized in stable condition.

Suspect Remains at Large
As of Monday evening, investigators had not announced a motive or released a description of the shooter. The investigation remained active, with multiple agencies assisting.
