Florida Teen Found Stuffed Under Cabin Bed After Dancing in Haunting Final Video

December 17, 2025

MIAMI, FLORIDA – A high school senior's dream vacation turned into a gruesome nightmare on the high seas after FBI agents boarded a Carnival cruise ship to investigate a brutal homicide. A newly discovered video shows 18-year-old Anna Kepner dancing joyfully just days before her body was found concealed beneath a bed in her cabin.

A screenshot from a chilling video captured by a fellow passenger shows 18-year-old Anna Kepner dancing at the Sail Away Party on November 2, unaware of the tragedy that would follow.

The Final Celebration

The footage, recorded on November 2 aboard the Carnival Horizon, captures the vibrant energy of the ship's departure. Anna, dressed in a white top and black shorts, is seen laughing and dancing to the Cupid Shuffle alongside her grandmother.

The video was unknowingly recorded by passenger Nicholas Giddens, who only realized months later that he had captured the final happy moments of the doomed teen. Giddens noted the stark contrast between the celebration and the horror that was unfolding, stating she seemed happy in the video before vanishing into the ship's interior.

A Grisly Discovery

On November 7, the vacation took a dark turn. When Anna failed to appear for breakfast, her family began a frantic search. The search ended in the most horrifying way imaginable when a housekeeper entered the cabin Anna shared with her brothers.

The scene was calculated and chilling as the teenager's body had been shoved under a bed, wrapped in blankets, and covered with life jackets to hide the crime. The cause of death was ruled as mechanical asphyxia, a brutal end indicating she had been suffocated or placed in a lethal chokehold.

The death has been ruled a homicide and court documents reveal that the FBI is weighing charges against a family member.

Family Secrets Revealed

As the FBI boarded the ship to collect evidence, a disturbing family dynamic emerged. Court documents from a custody battle involving Anna's stepmother revealed that Anna's 16-year-old stepbrother is considered a suspect in the homicide.

The stepmother testified that her son, who suffers from ADHD and had stopped taking his medication during the trip, was staying in the same room as Anna. She described the siblings as best friends who acted like the Three Amigos, making the sudden violence even more inexplicable. The FBI is now determining whether to charge the minor with state or federal crimes.
