ORLANDO FLORIDA – A day of fun at a four star resort turned into a scene of chaos when a Florida mother allegedly took matters into her own hands to settle a score between children. Tiffany Lee Griffith is now facing serious felony charges after witnesses say she held a six year old boy underwater because she believed he was bullying her son.

A Poolside Nightmare
The incident unfolded on Friday afternoon at the fancy Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando. Witnesses reported that three children were playing in the pool when the splashing became aggressive. Police say Griffith snapped after seeing the six year old victim dunk her own son of the same age.

Held Underwater for Seconds
Instead of handling the situation verbally investigators say Griffith entered the pool and started screaming at the child. She then placed her hands on the shoulders of the victim and forcibly dunked him underwater for several seconds.
Bleeding and Traumatized
The young boy managed to surface but was visibly upset and bleeding from his nose according to police reports. He immediately ran to his parents to tell them what happened. Griffith reportedly began yelling at the mother of the victim before fleeing the pool area.
Behind Bars
Police caught up with the 36 year old from Fort Meyers and she was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse. She was booked into the Osceola County Jail where she is currently being held without bond.
