UPDATE: Bench Warrants Issued for Eminem’s Ex-Wife Kim Mathers After Missed Court Hearings

June 26, 2026

  • Eminem's ex-wife Kim Mathers faces two bench warrants after failing to appear for court hearings on DUI charges.
  • Mathers previously pleaded no contest to impaired driving and hit-and-run incidents in Chesterfield Township.
  • Prosecutors allege Mathers violated her alcohol-monitoring device conditions four times since late May 2023.

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN — Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Mathers is facing new legal trouble after a Macomb County judge issued two bench warrants for her arrest.

The warrants were issued after Mathers failed to appear in court for three hearings connected to two separate drunken-driving cases in Michigan.

Kimberly Anne Mathers pleaded no contest to impaired driving and failure to report an accident after a February crash.

The update comes weeks after Mathers pleaded no contest to charges connected to a February hit-and-run crash in Chesterfield Township.

Bench Warrants Issued

Mathers was scheduled to appear before 42-2 District Court Judge William Hackel III on Wednesday morning.

The hearings included a probable cause conference in a newer OWI-third offense case, an adjourned bond violation hearing, and sentencing in the earlier February crash case.

After Mathers did not appear, the judge issued two bench warrants for her arrest.

Prosecutors said Mathers was driving a white Range Rover when she struck a parked Dodge Ram in Chesterfield Township.

Prosecutors Allege Alcohol Monitor Violations

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office also said Mathers violated her SoberLink alcohol-monitoring device four times since May 28.

The device had been ordered after Mathers was arraigned in the newer OWI-third offense case.

As part of her bond conditions, Mathers was required to avoid alcohol and drugs and test with the alcohol-monitoring device four times a day.

Separate May OWI Case

The newer case stems from an alleged crash on May 13 in Chesterfield Township.

Prosecutors said Mathers was driving a 2026 Kia when she struck a parked Jeep Cherokee.

Authorities alleged she was intoxicated at the time of that crash.

On May 28, Mathers was arraigned on an operating while intoxicated third-offense charge, which is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

Kim Mathers, Eminem’s ex-wife, is scheduled to be sentenced in Macomb County District Court on June 17.

Earlier February Crash

The earlier case involved a February 16 crash in Chesterfield Township.

Prosecutors said Mathers was driving a white Range Rover when she struck a parked Dodge Ram and pushed it about 50 feet.

She allegedly left the scene and returned home, where reports said she later hit her garage door.

Mathers pleaded no contest in May to operating while impaired and failing to stop after a collision.

Body Camera Footage Released

Body camera footage released by Chesterfield Township police showed moments after the May crash.

The footage reportedly showed Mathers slurring her words while officers conducted field sobriety tests.

Prosecutors said the repeated allegations and missed court appearances raised public safety concerns.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said the case now involves both compliance with the court process and protection of the community.

Case Remains Active

Mathers’ attorney was contacted for comment by local media about her possible whereabouts.

The cases remain active in Macomb County court.

Mathers was previously married to Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers. The two were married twice, first from 1999 to 2001 and briefly again in 2006.
