Bride’s Wedding Wrecked as Cop Bodycam Reveals Bizarre Arrest

April 27, 2026

  • Brianna Longoria, a California bride, was arrested for DUI shortly after her wedding, despite a 0.00 breathalyzer result.
  • She claims the arrest stemmed from fabricated evidence, as an officer suggested a quota for DUI arrests.
  • Longoria's lawsuit seeks to expunge her arrest record and calls for policy changes in the Phoenix Police Department.

PHOENIX, AZ — A California bride’s dream wedding transitioned from a celebration to a legal nightmare after she was arrested by Phoenix police for a DUI she claims never happened. Brianna Longoria, a resident of Fresno, had tied the knot just 24 hours before she was pulled over in a rental car on December 29, 2024. Despite cooperating with officers and providing a clean breath test on the scene, she was handcuffed and taken into custody.

On December 29, 2024, law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop involving Brianna Longoria, a resident of Fresno.

The "Triple Zero" Arrest

According to a federal lawsuit filed against the city of Phoenix, officers initially pulled Longoria over for allegedly running a red light and having faulty rear lights. The stop quickly escalated into a DUI investigation. Footage obtained by the Sud & Pierce Law Firm reveals that even after a breathalyzer returned a reading of 0.00, officers proceeded with the arrest. One officer is heard on camera telling Longoria, “I do believe that you’re impaired,” citing "red eyes" and pupil size as justification.

Allegations of Fabricated Evidence

The most damning evidence in the lawsuit involves recorded exchanges between the officers. One arresting officer was allegedly caught on camera stating that he feared being removed from his squad if he did not meet an implied quota for DUI arrests. Longoria’s attorneys argue this points to a systemic "practice or custom of manufacturing DUI arrests" to further police careers.

Brianna Longoria of Fresno was arrested and taken into custody while wearing a wedding dress following a traffic stop.

Long-Term Fallout

Though the DUI charges were dismissed in April 2025 and her license suspension was overturned due to a lack of evidence, Longoria says the damage was already done. The ordeal reportedly caused significant delays in her ongoing cancer treatment, hindered her progress in nursing school, and forced her to miss part of her honeymoon.

The lawsuit, filed in December 2025, seeks to have the arrest record completely expunged and demands policy changes within the Phoenix Police Department to prevent similar "fabricated" cases in the future.
