murder story

Vasile Tcaciuc was a Romanian serial killer who operated between 1930 and 1935. He was responsible for the murders of 21 to 26 people. His main motive for these crimes was robbery. Tcaciuc used an axe that he had specially made for his murders.

The police in Iași were aware of him since around 1930, as he had been arrested for robbery and burglary before. On September 7, 1935, a dog found six bodies buried under his house in Iași. Tcaciuc confessed to killing at least 21 people. He said that a 17-year-old girl had influenced him and helped him bury the victims in isolated houses and in a forest.

While he was being taken to reconstruct one of his crimes, he tried to escape. A policeman shot him, and he died on October 17, 1935.
