Tracie Marguerite Andrews was born on April 9, 1969, in England. She was the middle child in a family of three siblings and also had several half-siblings. Tracie's childhood was shaped by her parents, who had a volatile relationship. They separated when she was six years old, which left a lasting impact on her.

In 1990, Tracie became a mother when she gave birth to a baby daughter. However, she separated from her partner a year later. Tracie had dreams of becoming a model but initially worked as a barmaid to support herself and her child.

As she grew older, Tracie's relationships became known for being unstable. Partners described her as possessive, often unhappy if they spent time with friends without her. She had a tendency to show her anger explosively. In October 1994, she started a relationship with Lee Harvey, a local man. They moved in together just three months after they met. Their relationship was marked by jealousy and frequent arguments, leading to calls to the police due to violence.

Family and friends were concerned about the couple's turbulent relationship. Lee often confided in his friends and his mother about Tracie's emotional issues. In late October 1996, the police were called to their home after an incident where Tracie bit Lee on the neck. Lee's mother advised him to separate from Tracie for the sake of his daughter.

Despite these warnings, their relationship continued until December 1996. During this time, Tracie showed signs of being emotionally troubled, impacting her relationship with Lee and others in her life.

murder story

On December 1, 1996, Tracie Andrews murdered her fiancé, Lee Harvey. After a day filled with arguments, the couple decided to go to a local pub to try to sort things out. On their way back to their flat in Alvechurch, Worcestershire, they had a heated argument while driving. They stopped the car on a country lane after the argument escalated.

During the stop, Andrews attacked Harvey with a pen knife. She stabbed him over 42 times, causing severe wounds to his back, throat, and chest. After the stabbing, Andrews reported to the police that they had been victims of a road rage incident. She claimed two men in another car had confronted them, and one of them had attacked Harvey.

The authorities quickly became suspicious of her story. Witnesses stated they had heard an argument between a man and woman right after Andrews' car had parked. Forensic evidence began to contradict her claims of a road rage attack. Police found strands of Andrews' hair in Harvey's hand, suggesting a physical struggle. Investigators could not find any evidence of another car being involved in the incident.

Two days after the murder, Andrews appeared at a press conference, holding the hands of Harvey's family. She continued to insist that someone else had killed Harvey. However, as the investigation progressed, the evidence pointed toward her guilt. On December 19, Andrews was charged with murder after attempting to take her own life the day after the press conference.

During the investigation, police discovered a bloodstained pen knife impression in her boot, indicating that she had likely disposed of the murder weapon. After being charged, she maintained her innocence until she eventually confessed in 1999. She claimed it was in self-defense, although evidence suggested that many of the stab wounds were inflicted while Harvey was retreating.

Andrews went to trial in July 1997. The prosecution presented strong evidence against her, and she was found guilty of murder. She received a life sentence with a minimum term of 14 years, which she served. During her imprisonment, she underwent surgeries to alter her appearance and eventually was released in July 2011. After her release, she changed her name several times to distance herself from her past.
