Stephen Farrow was born in 1964 or 1965 in the United Kingdom. From a young age, he exhibited behavioral issues, including hyperactivity. At age 10, he set fire to a church altar. Farrow claimed to have been sexually abused by a priest during his time at boarding school, which he cited as the root of his obsessive hatred toward Christianity. As an adult, he led a transient lifestyle, struggled with substance abuse, and had a criminal record that included aggravated burglary.

murder story

On January 2, 2012, Farrow broke into the home of 77-year-old retired teacher Betty Yates in Bewdley, Worcestershire. He struck her from behind with a heavy walking stick, rendering her unconscious. He then arranged her body with her head on a pillow and stabbed her four times, leaving the knife embedded in her neck.

Six weeks later, on February 13, 2012, Farrow visited the vicarage of 59-year-old Reverend John Suddards in Thornbury, Gloucestershire. After being let in, Farrow attacked the vicar, stabbing him seven times. As Suddards lay dying, Farrow told him to "f****** die then and hurry up." He then desecrated the scene by surrounding the body with pornography, party poppers, a condom wrapper, underwear, a canvas of Jesus Christ, and a mirror.

Farrow was arrested on February 19, 2012, in Folkestone, Kent. He was charged with both murders and a separate burglary. During his trial, he admitted to the burglary and the manslaughter of Reverend Suddards on the grounds of diminished responsibility but denied both murders. The jury found him guilty of both murders and the burglary. He was sentenced to two whole-life orders, meaning he would never be released from prison.

Stephen Farrow died in prison on August 21, 2023, at the age of 58.
