Seema was raised under the same harsh circumstances as her sister Renuka, learning criminal behavior from their mother. As a teenager, she participated in theft and abduction, showing no remorse during interrogations.

Seema took part in kidnapping 13 children. She was directly involved in killing five of them. Eyewitnesses and co-accused testified to her brutality, with incidents of her throwing a child to the ground or suffocating them. After her arrest, she remained unrepentant. She was sentenced to death in 2001 and received a commutation to life imprisonment in 2022.
