Bio

Sadashiv Sahu was born in 1947 in India. He grew up in Fursatganj, a small town in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Little is known about his early childhood and family life. As an adult, Sadashiv worked as a cloth merchant. He lived a quiet life and was described by his neighbors as a frail and quiet man.

People in the town noted that Sadashiv did not socialize much. He often kept to himself and was seen reading holy books during his free time. Many residents did not consider him a problem in their community. He was known for being reserved and having limited interaction with others.

As time passed, Sadashiv's life took a dark turn. He became involved in a series of violent incidents. In the early 2000s, reports of mystery killings in Fursatganj began to surface. However, details about his motivations or mental state during his early adult years are sparse.

In December 2004, Sadashiv was arrested in connection to these killings. At the time of his arrest, he was 57 years old.

Murder Story

Sadashiv Sahu was arrested in December 2004 in Fursatganj, Uttar Pradesh, India. He confessed to killing 22 men between the years 2000 and 2004. His first murder took place in April 2002 and his last known victim was a 60-year-old man, whom he shot in November.

Sahu targeted elderly and middle-aged men over the age of 45. He would look for his victims after dark. When he approached them, he used a firearm pressed against their chests to muffle the sound of the shots.

After committing these crimes, Sahu claimed he experienced a strange urge to kill, saying, "I don’t know what came over me." He mentioned that he would return home and have a peaceful sleep afterward.

Following the arrest, the police noted that there were no further murders in the Fursatganj area. They prepared to file charges against him by early February 2005. Many neighbors described Sahu as a quiet man who kept to himself, often reading holy books. However, some villagers did not believe he was guilty of all the murders, expressing skepticism about the police's claims.

Sahu admitted to killing the 60-year-old man but denied involvement in the other cases. He expressed a desire for legal assistance, indicating that he wanted to find a good lawyer to help him.
