Rory Enrique Conde was born on June 14, 1965, in Barranquilla, Colombia. When he was a child, his family moved to Miami, Florida. Growing up, Rory faced many challenges. His parents had a troubled marriage, and they often argued. This tense home environment made things hard for Rory and his siblings. As a teenager, Rory struggled with fitting in. He didn't do well in school and often got into trouble.

Despite these issues, he managed to graduate from high school. After school, he had various jobs, but he couldn't keep any of them for long. His personal relationships also suffered because of his behavior and unstable life.

Rory got married and had two children, but his marriage was not happy. He and his wife fought a lot, and eventually, she left him, taking their children with her. This separation deeply affected Rory, and his life started to spiral out of control. He became more isolated and began engaging in criminal activities.

murder story

On September 17, 1994, Rory Enrique Conde killed a cross-dressing male prostitute named Lazaro Comesana. Conde later explained that he murdered Lazaro after discovering during sex that Lazaro was a man. In the following months, Conde continued his killing spree. He murdered Elisa Martinez on October 8 and Charity Nava on November 20.

After killing Charity, Conde wrote a chilling message on her back and buttocks: "THIRD! (A happy face dotting the 'i') I will call Dwight Chan 10. (A reference to WPLG anchor Dwight Lauderdale) [See] if you can catch me. (Using two eyes instead of the word 'See')." Conde's killing spree did not stop there. He murdered three more prostitutes: Wanda Crawford on November 25, Necole Schneider on December 17, and Rhonda Dunn on January 12, 1995. He strangled all his victims to death and then sodomized their corpses afterward.

Conde's reign of terror came to an end on June 19, 1995, when Gloria Maestre, a prostitute he had tied up from head to toe, managed to make enough noise to alert neighbors while Conde was in court for a shoplifting charge. He was arrested and later sentenced to death on March 7, 2000, for the murder of Rhonda Dunn. Conde also pleaded guilty to the murders of the other five victims and was sentenced to five consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole on April 5, 2001.
