murder story

On February 6, 2005, Rocky Beamon and his girlfriend, Karen Wilkins, committed a murder. They killed 47-year-old Deborah Lacey. Beamon assaulted Lacey and drowned her in water. After the murder, they stole her car and traded it for crack cocaine. Police later found them when they spotted two men driving Lacey's car.

Beamon was charged with first-degree murder. To avoid a death sentence, he pleaded guilty and received a life sentence without parole. During the sentencing hearing, Lacey's family spoke about their loss. They expressed their deep sorrow and pain over her death. Lacey's family made it clear how much her murder affected their lives.

Karen Wilkins pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and received a 30-year sentence along with 10 years of probation. Family members continued to feel the weight of the tragedy, sharing emotional statements about their loss and the impact on their lives.

On July 5, 2012, while in prison, Beamon killed another inmate, Bruce Hunsicker. He attacked Hunsicker in the prison shower. Beamon choked him and stabbed him over 80 times with a homemade knife. He later tried to hide evidence of the murder.

On January 22, 2017, Beamon killed another inmate named Nicholas Anderson. He bound and strangled Anderson before slashing his neck with a homemade weapon. Beamon later wrote letters expressing his feelings about killing sex offenders, stating that it brought him joy and that he planned to continue unless sentenced to death.

Beamon was ultimately sentenced to death for these murders. He died by suicide on June 10, 2020, while on death row. He was 42 years old at the time of his death.
