Murder Story

On January 9, 1998, Robert Renninger, a 31-year-old man from Tremont, Pennsylvania, committed a tragic series of murders. That day, he was returning his two children, David, aged 9, and Jessica, aged 7, to their estranged mother, Tammy L. Renninger, who was 27. They met at a diner that served as a drop-off point after a weekend visit.

In front of the diner, Robert shot Tammy. Afterward, he drove his children less than a mile away to a rural area. There, he shot both David and Jessica. After harming his children, Robert took his own life by shooting himself in the chest. This tragic event happened while Robert and Tammy were going through a divorce.
