Robert Neal Rodriguez was born in 1950. He grew up in a typical American family, but not much is known about his early childhood. He later became a police officer. Rodriguez spent two years working with the Police Department in Portland, Oregon. He left that job in 1977, but it was reported that he left on good terms.

After working as a police officer, Rodriguez moved to Tallahassee, Florida. He made this move to be closer to his mother. Sadly, his mother passed away just a few weeks before his later actions. This event seemed to have a significant impact on him.

In the years leading up to 1992, Rodriguez faced a number of challenges in his life. These circumstances would eventually play a role in the tragic events that occurred later.

Murder Story

Robert Neal Rodriguez was involved in a series of murders in Tallahassee, Florida. He confessed to killing three young women between 1984 and 1992. His victims included two 16-year-old girls and a 22-year-old woman. The murders took place when he shot the victims.

In March 1992, Rodriguez shot the two girls at a beach south of Tallahassee. He confessed this crime in a phone call to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The other victim, a 22-year-old woman, was found in a pond three months after she disappeared from a shopping center in Tallahassee in 1984.

On May 15, 1992, as authorities closed in on him, Rodriguez took his own life. He used cyanide at a highway rest stop in New Mexico to avoid arrest. A note was left with his body. In this note, he mentioned that he had written a letter to Florida authorities detailing his actions.
