murder story

On April 14, 1989, Ramón Bojórquez Salcido committed multiple murders in California. After a night of drinking and using cocaine, he drove his three daughters to a county dump. There, he attacked them, killing Sofia and Teresa, while Carmina survived despite being injured. Following the killings of his daughters, he drove to Cotati, California. There, he killed his mother-in-law, Marion Louise Richards, and her two daughters, Ruth and Maria.

After these murders, he returned home to Boyes Hot Springs, where he shot his wife, Angela Salcido. He then went to the Grand Cru winery, where he worked, and killed a co-worker named Tracey Toovey.

After the murders, Salcido fled to Mexico. He was arrested in Guasave, Mexico, on April 19, 1989. When questioned by police, he claimed that the murders were motivated by his suspicion that his wife was having an affair with a coworker.

Salcido's trial took place in 1990, as the case received significant media coverage. On October 30, 1990, he was found guilty on multiple counts, including six counts of first-degree murder. He was sentenced to death on November 16, 1990. His defense attorney argued that Salcido was under the influence of drugs during the killings and sought a lesser charge. However, the jury delivered a unanimous verdict on the serious charges. He is currently on death row in California's San Quentin State Prison.
