On July 19, 1995, Paul was involved in a drug deal that led to a disagreement. This disagreement put him in a situation where he believed he had to defend himself. Following this incident, he was arrested on September 18, 1995.

As a result, two men, Roddriek Martin and Glenn Andrews, lost their lives. The method of murder was shooting.
