Paul Bradley Speer was born on November 13, 1978. As Paul grew up, he became involved in a life of crime.

By early adulthood, Paul had been arrested multiple times. He had various run-ins with the law, including a burglary charge in 2002. During this time, Paul was living with his brother, Chris Womble. They were involved in criminal activities together, specifically breaking into homes.

In March 2002, Paul and Chris committed a burglary at the home of Adan and Enriqueta Soto. This crime was a key moment in Paul’s life as it led to further criminal actions. At that time, Paul was already in jail, waiting to go to trial for the burglary.

In this period, Paul's other brother, Brian Womble, became involved. He believed he was helping Paul by planning to eliminate the couple, who were witnesses against them. This conspiracy was a serious decision that would change their lives forever.

Murder Story

Paul Bradley Speer was involved in a serious crime that resulted in murder. On March 2002, Speer was in jail waiting for his trial because he had committed burglary with his brother, Chris Womble. They broke into the home of Adan and Enriqueta Soto.

While Speer was in jail, his other brother, Brian Womble, made a plan with him over the phone. They wanted to eliminate Adan and Enriqueta Soto, who were witnesses against them in the burglary case. On May 25, 2002, Brian Womble went to the Soto's house. He opened a window and entered their bedroom while they were sleeping.

Brian Womble shot both Adan and Enriqueta with a silenced gun. Enriqueta woke up in pain and did not realize she had been shot. She tried to wake Adan but could not. Adan Soto was shot and died while holding their young son. Two other children were asleep in the house during the incident.

Adan Soto was 42 years old when he died. Enriqueta Soto was 30 at the time and suffered permanent injuries from the shooting. Paul Bradley Speer was sentenced to death on March 29, 2007, for his role in this crime, and Brian Womble received the same sentence for his actions.
