Mukosi Freddy Mulaudzi, born in 1962 in Maelula, Limpopo, South Africa, is a convicted serial killer known for a series of brutal crimes committed over two decades. Initially imprisoned in 1991 for two murders and an armed robbery, Mulaudzi escaped from Baviaanspoort Prison in Pretoria in 1996. Following his escape, he embarked on a violent crime spree, primarily in the Siloam and Levubu areas.
murder story
After his 1996 escape, Mulaudzi's criminal activities escalated. In 2004, he attempted three murders, committed two armed robberies, and carried out two assaults and housebreakings. Between 2005 and 2006, his crimes became increasingly violent, resulting in the deaths of multiple victims. Notable cases include:
September 2004: Ndivhuwo Winnity Tshilimandila (19) was raped and murdered, along with her cousins Nyadzeni (14), Shumani (10), and Levhalesani Maxwell Sivhugwana (7), who were hacked to death in their Thohoyandou home.
August 4, 2006: Phophi Tracy Radzilani (30) was killed with a sharp object in her house. Her children, Rotondwa (7) and Moses Mushiana (5), were burned alive in their bedroom in Tshedza village. Household items were also stolen.
July 2006: Shonisani Thinandavha was murdered in Mulodi, with body parts, including her breast, right hand, left ear, and upper lip, sliced off.
Mulaudzi was captured in July 2006 while attempting to hide in an unused refrigerator. During his trial, he often caused disruptions, at one point threatening to sleep during proceedings if his wife and son were not released. He also alleged that investigators had bribed him for a confession. Despite his antics, Judge Godfrey Hetisani convicted him on multiple charges, resulting in 11 life sentences.
