Mischa Ebner was born in 1975 in Switzerland. At the age of four, he and his older brother Alex were found neglected and abused, leading to their placement in an adoptive family in 1979. Mischa discovered a passion for endurance sports, particularly running and cycling, which served as an outlet for his inner turmoil.
In 1998, Mischa achieved national recognition by winning the prestigious Frauenfelder Waffenlauf, a military endurance race. Tragically, three days after his victory, his brother Alex committed suicide, a loss that deeply affected Mischa.
Professionally, Mischa worked as a cook in various establishments in Bern and was actively involved in the local running community. Despite his outward appearance of normalcy, he struggled with unresolved psychological issues stemming from his traumatic childhood.
