July 10, 1987Milo M. Stanley was born on March 11, 1963. His background before becoming a criminal is not widely known. He grew up as a Caucasian male in the United States.
As he grew older, he faced challenges that impacted his life. It is noted that he struggled with alcohol and had many arguments with his wife, Susan. These disputes would later play a crucial role in his life decisions.
Milo and Susan married and had three children together. They had a five-year-old daughter named Seleste and a one-year-old son. The family lived in Clarkdale, Arizona. The environment in which they lived seemed to be troubled, with Milo's drinking causing problems in his family life.
On June 19, 1986, Milo M. Stanley argued with his wife, Susan, about his drinking problem. To resolve the argument, he drove Susan, their 5-year-old daughter, Seleste, and their 1-year-old son to a remote area outside Cottonwood, Arizona. While sitting in the car, the argument continued. Milo ended the argument by shooting Susan three times in the head. He then shot Seleste once in the head.
Milo did not shoot his son, as he was too young to understand what happened. After the shootings, he disposed of Susan's and Seleste's bodies off the side of the road. He returned home and put his 1-year-old son to bed. Later that night, he called the police and reported that Susan and Seleste were missing.
The police began a search for Susan and Seleste. The next day, Milo confessed to the murders. He faced trial and was convicted in June 1987. He was sentenced to death for murdering Seleste and received a life sentence for murdering Susan.
Milo Stanley was found dead in his prison cell on May 10, 2013. The authorities classified his death as an apparent suicide.
