Bio

Mickey David Thomas was born on September 25, 1974. He grew up in the United States. Information about his early life, including his family background, childhood experiences, and education, is limited.

As Thomas grew up, he faced a series of challenges. He became involved in criminal activities at a young age. His criminal record included charges for robbery and kidnapping. He spent nine years in prison before being released just a year before he committed his crimes in 2004.

Thomas had a history of engaging in unlawful behavior, which likely played a role in his later actions. Despite the details of his early life being scarce, his later years were marked by a pattern of criminal behavior that would eventually lead to serious charges. After his release from prison, he moved between different locations, including Arkansas and Oklahoma.

His time leading up to his arrest in June 2004 was marked by a series of robberies. He was apprehended after a series of events that involved violence and theft. The incidents that occurred during this time would drastically change his life and the lives of others.

Murder Story

On June 14, 2004, Mickey David Thomas committed his first murders in a crime spree in Oklahoma and Arkansas. He shot two women, Mona Shelton and Donna Cary, in the head at Cornerstone Monument Company in Arkansas. Both women were killed execution-style during a robbery. After these murders, Thomas stole a car at gunpoint and fled the scene.

The next day, on June 15, 2004, police apprehended Thomas in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. During his arrest, authorities found the purses of the murdered women in his vehicle. Thomas was charged with the murders of Shelton and Cary and was also connected to a third victim, Geraldine Jones. Jones was killed in Oklahoma during a home invasion robbery that occurred earlier.

Thomas had a long criminal history. He had been convicted previously of kidnapping and robbery and had served nine years in prison. He was released just a year before committing these new crimes.

After his arrest, Thomas went to trial. On September 28, 2005, he was sentenced to death in Arkansas for the murders of Shelton and Cary. His case went through several appeals, but the Arkansas Supreme Court upheld the convictions and death sentences. Thomas was also charged with rape and robbery related to an incident in Durant, Oklahoma, five days before the murders.

He remains in a "supermax" prison in Varner, Arkansas, serving his sentence.
