Michael R. Manley was born on July 29, 1974. He grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a black male. In the 1990s, Michael was involved in a situation connected to his employment. He had interactions with a man named Kristopher Heath, who worked as a security employee at Macy's Department Store in the Christiana Mall.

On November 13, 1995, he became involved in a serious incident that led to his arrest on the same day. His actions resulted in the death of Kristopher Heath. Michael was sentenced to death on February 3, 2006. 

Murder Story 

On November 13, 1995, Kristopher Heath was murdered in the parking lot of his apartment complex in Delaware. He was due to testify against a man named Stevenson for theft related to his work at Macy's Department Store. On that morning, Heath was shot in the back five times with a nine-millimeter handgun.

After the gunshots were heard, residents called the police. One witness, Lance Thompson, saw a black male running to a blue vehicle and noted the license plate number. This information was shared with the police. Officers quickly traced the license plate back to Stevenson and his mother.

Wilmington Police arrived at Stevenson's home just as a blue car pulled in. The two men inside, one of whom was Michael Manley, tried to leave but were soon chased down by patrol cars. Both men fled on foot but were captured by the police. Manley matched the description of the shooter given by witnesses.

After the arrests, police found a slip of paper with the name of another Macy's employee who had worked with Heath in the investigation against Stevenson. Michael Manley was arrested on the same day as the murder. He received a death sentence on February 3, 2006.
