Bio

Michael Dale St. Clair was born on January 15, 1957. He grew up in a tumultuous environment, facing challenges common in many troubled households.

St. Clair’s life took a serious turn as a young adult. He became involved in criminal activities, which led to several encounters with the law. By 1991, he was already convicted of serious crimes, including the murder of his uncle and a man he hired to kill his uncle.

After these initial convictions, St. Clair was incarcerated in an Oklahoma jail. In September 1991, he escaped from jail along with another inmate. They managed to overpower a guard, steal a guard's truck, and went on a crime spree that took them across several states.

During this period, St. Clair's life continued to spiral, leading to more serious charges. His actions set him on a path that would eventually result in multiple murder convictions and his arrests in different states, culminating in a long legal battle that would follow him for many years.

While in jail, St. Clair experienced many challenges as he faced trial for his actions. His attempts to navigate the legal system marked significant events in his life.

Murder Story

Michael Dale St. Clair committed a series of murders in the early 1990s. He began his crime spree after escaping from jail in Oklahoma in September 1991. St. Clair, along with an accomplice, traveled across several states. They are believed to have killed a paramedic named Timothy Keeling in New Mexico shortly after his disappearance on September 27, 1991.

On October 6, 1991, St. Clair carjacked a man named Frank Brady at a rest area in Kentucky. He took Brady into a wooded area in Bullitt County. There, St. Clair shot and killed him. After killing Brady, St. Clair set fire to the victim's truck. A few months later, he was apprehended in Oklahoma on December 19, 1991.

St. Clair was convicted for the murder of Frank Brady in 1998. He received a death sentence for this crime. The court also convicted him of kidnapping Brady in a separate trial and handed another death sentence in 2001. Over the years, St. Clair's convictions faced multiple appeals. His death sentence was overturned by the Kentucky Supreme Court in 2004, leading to a resentencing in 2005 where he was sentenced to death again. However, further appeals resulted in additional legal complications and changes in his sentencing status.
