Bio

Metod Trobec was born on July 6, 1948, in Slovenia, a region that was part of the former Yugoslavia at the time. He grew up in a small village called Gorejne Vasi. Little is known about his childhood, but it is understood that he had a troubled upbringing.

As Metod grew older, he became a quiet and withdrawn young man. He showed signs of social difficulties, having trouble connecting with others. This led to a fairly isolated life during his teenage years. He also had issues with authority, which made it difficult for him in school and at home.

He later became an adult who worked in various jobs, but his life did not follow a traditional or stable path. There were indications that he struggled with his emotions and had a dark side that others around him could not see. This gradual buildup in his personality would later manifest in alarming ways.

Murder Story

Metod Trobec, known as "The Monster of Gorejne Vasi," is a serial killer from Slovenia. He was active in 1978. During this time, he murdered six people, including men and women in various age groups. His victims were Vido Markovič, Marjano Cankar, Urško Brečko, Ano Plevnik, Zorko Nikolič, and Olge Pajič.

Trobec's method of murder included strangulation. After he killed his victims, he burned their corpses in the oven wood of his home. This act shocked many people in the former Yugoslavia.

In 1979, Trobec was arrested for the murders. In 1980, he was sentenced to death. However, this sentence was later changed to 20 years in prison by the Slovene Supreme Court. While in prison, he attempted to murder another inmate in 1992 and received an additional 15 years.

On May 30, 2006, Metod Trobec committed suicide by hanging himself with a blanket in his prison cell in Dob pri Mirni. His death marked the end of a notorious case in Slovenia.
