June 15, 1995Meryl Stanley McDonald was born on August 15, 1946, in the United States. He remained largely unknown until 1994, when investigators linked him to a murder-for-hire plot in Florida. Financial transactions and phone records later connected him to the conspiracy, leading to his arrest and prosecution.
In early 1994, prosecutors said Denise Davidson and Leonardo Cisneros arranged for Meryl Stanley McDonald and Robert Roy Gordon to kill Louis Davidson. During the early morning of January 25, 1994, the killers waited outside the victim’s apartment complex while another accomplice, Susan Shore, drove them. Gordon approached Davidson and accompanied him to the apartment. Later that day, Davidson’s fiancée discovered a brutal crime scene.
The victim had been blindfolded, bound, gagged, and hog-tied in a bathtub filled with bloody water. The apartment had been ransacked. Medical evidence showed facial injuries, broken ribs, scalp wounds, and drowning as the final cause of death. Investigators linked McDonald to the murder through money transfers, phone records, and physical evidence recovered from the hotel where the suspects had been staying.
