murder story
In March and April of 2001, Marc Vincent Sappington committed a series of murders in Kansas City, Kansas. Over four days, he killed four acquaintances: Terry T. Green, Michael Weaver Jr., and Alton "Fred" Brown Jr. Sappington used both knives and guns during these attacks.
He confessed to stabbing Michael Weaver to death. He also left the body of Terry Green in a car. Alton Brown was shot, and afterward, Sappington dismembered his body and consumed part of his leg.
Sappington faced charges for these murders. On June 23, 2004, he was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder. In a separate case, he was also convicted in December 2004 for an attempted aggravated robbery and murder of David Mashak, which took place in March 2001.
The Kansas Supreme Court affirmed his convictions on November 2, 2007. Sappington's actions and confessions included claims that voices in his head urged him to eat flesh and blood.
