murder story

Luis Gregorio Ramírez Maestre was a Colombian serial killer responsible for the deaths of thirty people. His crimes took place between 2010 and 2012 across several cities, including Tenerife and Valledupar. He targeted young men, aged 19 to 30, who were not taller than 1.70 meters and weighed under 60 kilos. Ramírez used his charm to gain the trust of his victims. He often asked motorcycle taxi drivers to take him to remote areas.

Once they reached their destination, he would attack. Ramírez would hold the drivers by the throat and suffocate them until they lost consciousness, but he was careful not to kill them immediately. Most of his victims died from either suffocation or torture. After committing the murders, he would take personal items from them, such as wallets, cell phones, and helmets.

Ramírez later confessed to the murder of one victim, John Jairo Amador de la Rosa, when authorities discovered his body wrapped in ropes. While he primarily focused on stealing motorcycles, many experts believe that his actions showed antisocial traits similar to those of psychopaths.

In 2012, Ramírez was arrested. He was sentenced to 57 years in prison, but this was later reduced to 34 years due to his acceptance of charges. He is expected to be released in 2032 after serving 20 years in prison, according to Colombian law.
