Bio

Luis E. Reyes was born on February 8, 1977. He grew up in the United States and was of white ethnicity. Reyes was sometimes referred to as "Little Louie," a nickname that distinguished him from others in his community. As he entered his teenage years, his environment and experiences continued to shape him.

Reyes would eventually become known for his involvement in serious crimes in his late teens. But before this, he was just a young man navigating the difficulties of life. It is important to understand that everyone's life story is complex, and early experiences can influence later choices in significant ways.

Murder Story

On January 21, 1996, the bodies of two teenagers, Brandon Saunders and Vaughn Rowe, were found in a wooded area of Rockford Park in Delaware. A pedestrian discovered the bodies covered with a maroon bed sheet. Both victims had been shot in the back of the head. In addition, Vaughn Rowe had injuries showing he had been beaten.

Wilmington Police Detective Mark Lemon was assigned to investigate the case. The police began to suspect Luis Cabrera as one of the individuals involved. Several pieces of evidence connected Cabrera to the victims. Within a week after the murders, Cabrera returned a pager belonging to Brandon Saunders to a store in Wilmington. He claimed he found the pager near his father’s home.

The police found a watch on Vaughn Rowe that had the phone number of Cabrera’s father's house programmed into it. During the investigation, authorities searched Brandon Saunders' bedroom and discovered a business card for ISS Service System. The card had the name “Big Lou” written on it, which referred to Cabrera. Luis Reyes, also known as "Little Louie," was connected to this case as he and Cabrera both worked for ISS.

The investigation led to Reyes being charged and convicted in connection with the murders. On March 14, 2002, he was sentenced to death for his crimes.
