Bio

Li Pingping was born in 1960 in Beijing, China. He grew up in a time when China was undergoing many changes.

He was put under surveillance for sexual harassment in May 1980. After that, he was jailed for six months in December 1985 due to theft.

Li worked various jobs over the years. He was employed at the Beijing Gaotelan Food Company as a boiler worker until 1995. At this job, he was dismissed, which led to significant life changes. After losing his job, Li felt resentment toward the people around him.

He later became a taxi driver. He worked for the Wanquansi Taxi Company in Beijing.

Murder Story

Li Pingping was a taxi driver in Beijing who committed a series of murders from 1995 to 2003. He killed a total of seven people. His victims included four women he lured from local nightclubs, as well as his former boss, the boss's wife, and their 12-year-old daughter.

Between November 2002 and April 2003, Li picked up four women, believed to be prostitutes, and took them to his home. After having sex with them, he killed them with a knife. He dismembered three of the women's bodies and disposed of their remains in a garbage pit near his house.

Earlier, in May 1995, Li was dismissed from his job at a food company. Feeling anger towards his boss, Song Shutian, he killed Song, his wife, and their young daughter. After the murders, he set fire to Song's house in an attempt to cover up his crime.

Li was arrested in June 2003 and was sentenced to death in March 2004. His execution took place on June 15, 2004. His wife, who helped him with the murders and hid stolen money, received a 15-year prison sentence.
