1997Jon Andreas Nödtveidt was born on June 28, 1974, in Sweden. He grew up in a suburb of Stockholm. From a young age, he had a strong interest in music. This passion would later lead him to become a musician.
In 1989, Nödtveidt founded the band Dissection. He was the lead guitarist and vocalist. The band was known for its death metal and black metal style. Nödtveidt was also involved in several other music projects, including bands like Necrophobic and Ophthalamia. He took on different names in some of these groups, such as Rietas and Shadow.
Nödtveidt was active in the metal music scene and worked as a journalist for a magazine named Metal Zone. He wrote about developments in the black metal scene. His work influenced many fans and musicians.
Aside from music, Nödtveidt was known to be a member of the Misanthropic Luciferian Order (MLO). This membership shaped his views on different subjects, including spirituality and philosophy.
