Jon Andreas Nödtveidt was born on June 28, 1974, in Sweden. He grew up in a suburb of Stockholm. From a young age, he had a strong interest in music. This passion would later lead him to become a musician.

In 1989, Nödtveidt founded the band Dissection. He was the lead guitarist and vocalist. The band was known for its death metal and black metal style. Nödtveidt was also involved in several other music projects, including bands like Necrophobic and Ophthalamia. He took on different names in some of these groups, such as Rietas and Shadow.

Nödtveidt was active in the metal music scene and worked as a journalist for a magazine named Metal Zone. He wrote about developments in the black metal scene. His work influenced many fans and musicians.

Aside from music, Nödtveidt was known to be a member of the Misanthropic Luciferian Order (MLO). This membership shaped his views on different subjects, including spirituality and philosophy.

Nödtveidt's life changed dramatically when he was convicted of murder in 1997. He was sentenced in 1998 and served time until his release in 2004. After getting out of prison, he reformed Dissection and continued his music career.

On August 16, 2006, Nödtveidt was found dead in his apartment in Hässelby, a suburb of Stockholm. He was discovered with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. His death was confirmed by the official website of Dissection, which later made an announcement regarding his passing.

Murder Story

On December 15, 1997, Jon Andreas Nödtveidt committed murder in Stockholm, Sweden. His victim was Josef Ben Meddour, a 38-year-old homosexual Algerian. Nödtveidt shot him, resulting in his death. Following the crime, he faced legal consequences.

In 1998, Nödtveidt was sentenced for his actions. He served time in prison and was released in 2004. After his release, he reformed his band, Dissection, and continued his music career.
