Born on November 27, 1993, in Georgia, Jasmiyah Kaneesha Whitehead, along with her identical twin sister Tasmiyah, was raised primarily by their great-grandmother, Della Frazier, due to their mother Nikki Whitehead's challenges in parenting. The twins were honor students and participated in activities like Girl Scouts. However, their relationship with their mother was tumultuous, marked by frequent arguments and physical altercations. In January 2010, after a court-mandated two-week trial period living with their mother, tensions escalated tragically.

murder story

On January 13, 2010, an argument erupted between Nikki Whitehead and her daughters over their tardiness for school. The confrontation escalated into a violent struggle. According to their confessions, Nikki attempted to discipline them with a pot, leading to a physical altercation. Jasmiyah struck her mother with the pot, and Tasmiyah stabbed her multiple times. They then dragged Nikki's body to the bathtub, where she succumbed to her injuries. After attempting to clean the scene, the twins went to school and later reported discovering their mother's body.

Investigators found inconsistencies in the twins' statements and physical evidence linking them to the crime, including bite marks and their mother's blood on their clothing. They were arrested on May 21, 2010, and initially pleaded not guilty. In February 2014, Jasmiyah accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and other charges, resulting in a 30-year prison sentence. She is currently incarcerated at Arrendale State Prison in Georgia.
