Bio

Jacques Plumain was born on August 14, 1973, in Guadeloupe. His father was not present in his life, and his mother raised him and his five siblings on her own. Each of his siblings had different fathers.

At the age of 16, Plumain moved to mainland France. He took on various jobs, including working as a cook. Later, he joined the French military, enlisting in the 1st Artillery Regiment and later serving in the Illkirch-Grassenstaden regiment. He served in the military until February 1999.

Following his military service, Plumain's life began to take a troubling turn. He had a history of violence and had received short sentences for various assaults. In 2001, he was arrested for attempting to harm a motorist with a samurai sword after a dispute.

Murder Story

Jacques Plumain committed a series of violent crimes in Germany and France between late 1999 and 2000. He killed three women and attempted to kill a fourth. His first known victim was Hatice Celik, a 22-year-old woman, who was murdered on October 11, 1999, in Kehl, Germany. Plumain attacked her in the early morning, knocking her unconscious before stabbing her and slitting her throat.

On December 4, 1999, he killed Gisela Dallmann, a 66-year-old newspaper delivery woman. Plumain approached her from behind while she was working. After a brief struggle, where she bit him in an attempt to defend herself, he struck her and then dragged her body to a secluded area. He inflicted fatal wounds to her neck.

His third victim was Ursula Brelowski, a 45-year-old woman, who was killed on May 15, 2000. Plumain encountered her while she was cycling in the Wantzenau forest near Strasbourg. After an exchange, he attacked her in a fit of rage, beating her and then stabbing her multiple times before slitting her throat. In both of these murders, he attempted to stage the scene to suggest sexual assault, although none of the victims were raped.

In addition to these three murders, Plumain also attacked Barbel Zobel, a 39-year-old woman, in 1999. She managed to call for help, and her husband intervened, causing him to flee.

Plumain was arrested in January 2001 after attacking a motorist with a samurai sword. During his interrogation, he confessed to his crimes, stating that he felt strong urges to kill. He was later tried and initially given a 30-year prison sentence in June 2005. However, after the prosecution appealed, he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 30 years in April 2006.
