Bio

Igor Nađ was born on August 31, 1983, in Vukovar. After his birth, he lived in the village of Petrovci with his family.

When the Croatian War of Independence began in 1991, his family left their home and moved to Zagreb. In Zagreb they were accommodated at the International Hotel.

He attended elementary school in the Vrbik district of Zagreb. There are no records showing that he went to high school or attended any higher education.

Murder Story

On August 1, 2019, Igor Nađ went to a bar at 9:30 and later to a hairdresser and a cafe. At the cafe he told a friend, "This is the last time you see me." It is not known what he did between leaving the cafe and the evening.

At 21:10 he arrived at Cimermanova 2 street in the Kajzerica district of Zagreb, where his former girlfriend Maja Tojagić lived. At 21:15 he encountered Maja's 10-year-old son Paulo and sent him to see who was in the house. At 21:21 he shot six people in the house, leaving a two-month-old baby alive.

The six people who died were Maja Tojagić (35); Maja's father, Dragomir Tojagić (61); Maja's mother, Filjka Tojagić (63); Maja's sister, Josipa Tojagić (29); Josipa's boyfriend, Davor Paušak (29); and Maja's son, Paulo Zamboni (10). The two-month-old baby survived. The father of the baby was Igor Nađ.

At 21:30 he fled the scene by car from Kajzerica to the Brezovica district, where his mother lived. Police traced him by his mobile phone. On August 2, at about 3:00, surrounded by police in the backyard of the Caritas Home for Orphans, he committed suicide with a gunshot to the head.
