Bio

Huang Weny was born in 1973 in China. He grew up in a regular family in Foshan City, located in Guangdong Province. As a child, he faced challenges, but there is limited information about his early life.

Not much about his education or hobbies is known. He later opened a pharmacy, which he owned with his wife. Huang married Cai Qiuyi, and they had a son together. As an adult, Huang struggled with mental health issues. Reports indicate that he began to fear for his safety and felt paranoid. He worried that he would be harmed by his wife or others around him.

Huang’s difficulties may have worsened over time. These concerns probably affected his relationships with his family members. He and his wife would often argue. Huang's fears seemed to connect to his family, especially as some relatives faced legal troubles involving economic crimes.

Overall, Huang lived in a situation that appeared to be a mix of regular life and growing personal struggles. His early life set the stage for a complex future.

Murder Story

On December 28, 2006, Huang Weny committed a series of murders in his home in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China. The events began around 2:00 a.m. after an argument with his wife, Cai Qiuyi. In a shocking act, he killed his wife, their seven-year-old son, his mother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law. He also murdered a woman who worked in the pharmacy he owned with his wife.

After killing these five people, Huang lured another sister-in-law to a nearby hospital garden about an hour later. Using the same hammer from the earlier murders, he killed her too.

Huang's actions were driven by a mix of fear and mental health issues. Before the murders, he worried that he would be implicated in crimes committed by his relatives and feared for his life, believing his wife or others might kill him.

Huang Weny was arrested four days later, on January 1, 2007, in a hotel in Guangzhou. He faced trial in April and was sentenced to death on July 11, 2007, with a two-year stay on the execution. The case received further review by the Supreme People's Court in China due to his mental health condition.
