Bio

Henry Robert Williams was born in Canada. Unfortunately, there are no available records of his exact date of birth or much information about his early life. It is known that he grew up in a challenging environment, which may have influenced his later actions.

Williams eventually became a family man. He got married and had two children. This phase of his life seemed normal on the outside. He was involved in his family and appeared to live a typical life. However, as time passed, he began to develop mental health issues, which played a significant role in his later crimes.

Little is known about his childhood, education, and how he came to be in Mississauga, Ontario. Most of the information focuses on the events that took place in the 1970s, notably his convictions. As a young adult, he worked as a construction worker. This job put him in contact with various people and places in the Mississauga area, where he would ultimately commit his crimes.

Murder Story

Henry Robert Williams committed his first known murder in 1972. He killed Constance Dickey, a 19-year-old college student, in September. Her body was found in the woods near Erindale College, where she had been sexually assaulted and strangled. The police began searching for clues but found none.

The following year, in October 1973, Williams murdered Neda Novak. She was an 18-year-old high school student. Neda’s body was discovered in the spring, badly decomposed. Her identity was confirmed through her schoolbooks found nearby. Unlike Constance, Neda was found clothed, and it was unclear if she had been sexually assaulted.

In August 1974, Williams attempted to murder Julie Sheldon, a 16-year-old girl visiting from England. After he raped and assaulted her, he left her for dead, believing she wouldn’t survive. However, Julie regained consciousness and managed to crawl to the road for help. She remembered Williams’ name from his car, which led to his arrest.

Williams confessed to the murders of Constance Dickey and Neda Novak, as well as the attempted murder of Julie Sheldon. In 1974, he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Following his sentencing, he chose to undergo voluntary castration as a treatment for his mental issues.
