1994Gustavo Pissardo, also known as "Tavinho," was born in 1972 in Brazil. He lived in São Jose dos Campos, a city in southeastern Brazil. This area is known for its mix of urban and suburban environments.
In September 1994, when he was 22 years old, an incident would dramatically change the course of his life. On the night of September 29, he experienced a severe headache that led his father to take him to a hospital. After receiving treatment, he returned home to rest.
That night, much of the family was gathered in the house. Gustavo later made decisions that had irreversible consequences for them all. Four days later, he would turn himself in to the authorities. He was sentenced to prison in 1997, and his life story would be remembered for the events that occurred during that fateful September night.
On the night of September 29, 1994, Gustavo Pissardo, also known as "Tavinho," committed a series of murders in São Jose dos Campos, Brazil. He was 22 years old and had been feeling unwell. His father took him to the hospital, where he received treatment for a headache and returned home. Later that night, Tavinho woke up and found his mother and sister watching television.
In a sudden act of violence, he retrieved a .32-caliber revolver from the top of the fridge and shot both his mother and sister in the head. After that, he also shot his father when he returned home. To make the scene look like a robbery, he tampered with items in the house and undressed the women.
Following the murders, he took his father's pickup truck and drove 94 miles to Campinas to visit his grandparents. Once there, he confessed to them about the killings. His grandparents' reaction upset him, leading him to murder them as well. After these acts, he drove back to São Jose dos Campos and picked up his girlfriend.
For the next four days, Tavinho and his girlfriend spent time at the beaches of São Paulo. On October 3, 1994, he surrendered to the police. In 1997, he was sentenced to 63 years in prison, which was later reduced to 42 years in 1999.
