Bio

Gregory Paul Wilson was born on May 10, 1967, in Multnomah County, Oregon. Growing up, not much is publicly known about his early family life or childhood experiences. He became known in his teenage years and early adulthood as a leader of a gang of street kids. His gang was described as being involved in violent activities.

Wilson adopted the street name "C.O." during this time. Many witnesses later referred to him by this name in legal proceedings. His reputation in the community was marked by his aggressive behavior and involvement in local crime.

Eventually, Wilson's criminal activities led him into serious legal trouble. He faced charges related to violent acts in the early 1990s. This marked a significant turn in his life and led to his eventual conviction for murder and associated criminal behaviors.

In the years that followed, Wilson was sentenced to death on February 3, 1994. However, his conviction was overturned by the Oregon Supreme Court in 1996 due to issues with the trial. He continued to maintain his innocence during the legal proceedings that ensued. His case has remained a point of interest in discussions about crime and justice in Oregon.

At the present time, Wilson is serving a 30-year sentence for charges related to kidnapping and assault. He is awaiting a potential new trial for the murder conviction, as he still has several appeals pending.

Murder Story

On July 25, 1992, Gregory Paul Wilson and three others found Misty Largo in an area under the Marquam Bridge where she was living. They believed she was spreading rumors about Wilson. The group, armed with a knife, forced Misty into their vehicle and drove her to a house. Once there, they took her into a back room. Wilson directed some people to hit Misty, and she was repeatedly questioned and slapped.

The next day, Wilson and another man told others in the house to keep watch on Misty so she could not escape. When they returned, they resumed the interrogation and physical abuse. At some point, Wilson decided they would kill Misty. She was tied to a wheelchair as they tried to poison her by dissolving a nitroglycerin pill in water and giving it to her. When that did not work, they covered her head with a plastic bag.

After five minutes without success, Wilson found a piece of speaker wire and wrapped it around Misty’s neck. He and the other man took turns strangling her for five to ten minutes. When they were still unsure if she was dead, Wilson struck her on the chest and throat until she stopped breathing.

After killing her, Wilson and another man took responsibility for disposing of her body. Wilson later claimed he struck Misty twice in the head with a splitting maul and that he and the other man stabbed her in the heart.
