Bio

Gregory L. Wilson was born on November 11, 1956. He grew up in a place where he faced many challenges. Information about his early life is limited, and there are not many details available about his family or childhood experiences.

As he grew older, Wilson got involved in trouble. He had a history of criminal behavior. Before he was involved in serious crimes, he served time in prison in Ohio for two counts of rape. This part of his life shows that he had a pattern of crime that escalated over time.

In the years leading up to his more serious crimes, Wilson's life took a negative turn. He struggled with his actions and choices, leading to life-changing events. The impact of his earlier experiences and decisions shaped the person he became later in life.

Murder Story

On May 29, 1987, Gregory L. Wilson, along with a female accomplice, committed a series of violent acts against Deborah Pooley in Kenton County, Kentucky. They forced her into the back seat of her own car. Once inside, Wilson raped her and later strangled her. This act of murder was carried out while the accomplice was driving the vehicle.

Following the crime, Wilson went on a shopping spree using Deborah's credit cards. Her body was discovered weeks later near the Indiana-Illinois border. The time of her death was determined by examining the development of blowfly maggots on her body.

Wilson was arrested on June 16, 1987. At the time of his arrest, it was noted that he had previously served time in Ohio for two counts of rape. On October 31, 1988, he was sentenced to death for the kidnapping and murder of Deborah Pooley.
